We are not licensed to give tax advice, but we have compiled this information for US-based financial professionals who may not be familiar with Show&Tell. This information is not intended to be used, and cannot be used, by any taxpayer for the purpose of (1) avoiding tax-related penalties under the US Internal Revenue Code or (2) promoting, marketing, or recommending to another party any tax-related matters. This information is just a start, please speak with your CPA or accountant for further questions.
If you meet the outlined requirements, Show&Tell will send you a 1099-K form. If you do not meet them, you will not receive a 1099-K form from us. Please speak to your tax professional about the tax consequences of US-sourced income.
Show&Tell will send you a 1099-K form if:
- You have earned more than $20,000 in gross revenue on Show&Tell over the calendar year AND
- More than 200 transactions have occurred in relation to your event(s)
NOTE: If you have multiple events, the combined revenue and transactions across all of your events will determine if you meet these thresholds. If you do receive a 1099-K, note that it will report the gross revenue from your sales, not the revenue that Show&Tell actually paid out to you.
